چکیده مقاله:

In vitro culture systems using bone marrow cells from BALB/C mice were set up in medium supplemented with spleen-derived medium. Bone marrow cells grown in spleen-derived medium gave rise to cultures containing >97% mast cells. The cells were used in polarisation chemotaxis assays with the intention of determining the effect of nerve tissue-derived neurotransmitters on mast cell migration. Some available neurotransmitters including (substance-p, histamine, serotonin, Dopa, noradrenaline, acetylcholine, aspartic acid, epinephrine and nerve extracts) were tested. Mast cells showed a significant morphological response to 10-3 and 10-4 M histamine, 10-9 M serotonin, and 10'2 M Dopa Nerve extracts induced some shape changes in mast cells.

Mast Cell-Nerve Interactions.

Mutual associations between nerves and mast cells have been observed in normal conditions and in pathological ones such as human irritable bowel syndrome, atopic dermatitis, interstitial cystitis, and more. Here we review the recent literature in this field, putting emphasis on the enteric, skin, and urinary systems, and the pathophysiological implications of this interaction in them.

the influence of the neo-platonic concept of poetic imagination on wordsworth’s poetry

Signal Transduction in Mast Cell Migration

Sundström, M. 2001. Signal Transduction in Mast Cell Migration. Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis. Comprehensive Summaries of Uppsala Dissertations from the Faculty of Medicine 1081. 53 pp. Uppsala. ISBN 91-554-5130-6 Mast cells are essential effector cells in the immune system as they release several inflammatory mediators. An accumulation of mast cells has been described in inflammatory conditio...

Angiogenic factors stimulate mast-cell migration.

Mast cells accumulate at sites of angiogenesis. The factor(s) that control mast-cell recruitment at these sites have yet to be defined. We sought to determine if angiogenic factors result in mast-cell chemotaxis. In this study, we observed that platelet-derived growth factor-AB (PDGF-AB), vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF), and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) each cause direct...

Stimulation of rat peritoneal mast cell migration by tumor-derived peptides.

The accumulation of mast cells is characteristic of a number of pathological states. We demonstrate here the directional motility of mast cells in vitro in response to tumor-derived peptides. Rat peritoneal mast cells were isolated on Percoll gradients and maintained in serum-free medium containing transferrin, albumin, soybean lipid, and cholesterol. The isolated mast cells migrated under agar...
